William Cox is a member of the Male Champions of Change STEM group.
Previously Aurecon’s Managing Director – Australia and New Zealand responsible for operations across ANZ, William has a proven track record in building a financially successful, high performance culture with strong client engagement.
William is a civil engineer with over 30 years’ experience in highway, rail and airport planning, and design and construction projects in Australia and the UK. He has been extensively involved in the design, documentation and construction supervision of major infrastructure projects, including the Sydney Cross City Tunnel Project, and the Sydney Rail Clearways program. In 2015, William was named one of Engineers Australia’s top 100 most influential engineers in Australia.
William is also Aurecon’s Pay Equity Ambassador for the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) and recently Aurecon’s representative for the Consult Australia Male Champions of Change. Under his leadership, Aurecon implemented female representation targets in Australia, presently aiming for 40 per cent by 2020.
William was also an Alliance leadership team member for the Sydney Harbour Bridge Infrastructure Upgrade Alliance. He was also a member of the Novo Rail Alliance leadership team which is delivering a substantial portfolio of infrastructure work across Sydney’s local rail network.
