Brett joined the Architect Male Champions of Change group in 2019.

Brett is the CEO of Peddle Thorp in Brisbane — a practice that delivers architecture, design and master planning for Queensland’s city centres, regional towns and island communities. Accustomed to overseeing large, complex projects, Brett’s portfolio of work spans diverse sectors ranging from education and health, through to civic, cultural and Court facilities.  

Known for his ability to manage a myriad of stakeholders and consultants, Brett’s collaborative approach ensures quality, timely outcomes for clients. In his dual roles of architect and senior executive, cultural sensitivities help shape both Brett’s designs and demeanour. His work with the Waigani National and Supreme Courts in Papua New Guinea is testament to Brett’s ability to engage with, and respond to, the needs and aspirations of large and complex stakeholder groups.  

An alumnus of the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brett continued to contribute to the success of the School of Architecture having worked as a tutor, mentoring and supporting new talent.

A sought-after speaker, Brett regularly contributes to think tanks and presents at conferences across Australia. According to Brett, shared knowledge and ongoing learning are key to the betterment of our built environment, nationwide.
