Stephen Ellis joined the Property Male Champions of Change group in 2015
Stephen’s experience spans more than three decades in the property industry across general consultancy work, investment advice, valuations and marketing activities.
Throughout his career, he has led a wide variety of teams – from small groups of professionals to leading a national property company with up to 1,600 employees – through market fluctuations and a transitioning property market, including during times of major disruption.
At leading independent global property consultancy Knight Frank, which has over 1,200 employees across 24 offices in Australia and New Zealand, Stephen’s key focus is on building the business, client relationship management and in positioning the firm as ‘the place for the best property professionals’.
With his leadership and focus on nurturing culture over the past seven years since joining the firm in October 2010, Stephen has re-established the business as one of the top agencies in the country, attracting over 650 new people and growing the business significantly in both revenue and profitability. Stephen has a strong focus on using technology, people engagement and a client-centric culture to drive company performance.
Prior to joining Knight Frank, Stephen founded his own property development and investment company, and was Chief Executive Officer and President of the CBRE Australia and New Zealand business.
